Articulation Collapse Joint Poverty
Definition
A bounded negative-symptom presentation in which poverty of spontaneous speech and poverty of thought or content are independently present. Reduced output supplies V-under only when the person is producing markedly little speech or communicative action; reduced Mental supply is established separately through sparse ideas, weak organization, or little usable content. This preserves the reviewed V-under/M-under diagonal without inferring cognition from mutism, aphasia, motor arrest, or unresponsiveness.
