Articulation Fixation Over Formulation
Definition
Mental content remains at ordinary volume while Move drives it into expression beyond what the content warrants. In anxious over-formulation, wording and qualification continue past communicative need; in compulsive recitation, repetition serves a ritualized demand for exactness or safety; and in contemplative over-noting the labeling practice itself becomes over-driven, each experience verbally wrapped harder than it warrants until the bare attention the noting was meant to support is degraded. All three can extend over-forming into other Move domains without making those targets mandatory. Distinct from perseverative speech, whose repeated output is an involuntary re-firing rather than a maintained effort to formulate correctly, and from conceptual proliferation in flood, where the content itself multiplies rather than ordinary content being re-marked.
