Belonging Flood Collective Immersion
Definition
Context-guarded collective immersion: classify the pattern as Flood only when over-holding and relational saturation produce demonstrable loss of choice or functioning beyond the person's cultural baseline. Cross-cultural research shows that selfhood, obligation, and chosen interdependence vary; it does not make normative collectivist belonging a cascade. The variant therefore marks impairment within a cultural frame, not the frame itself.
