Communication Freeze Functional Aphonia
Definition
Psychogenic loss of voice with an intact larynx — relational content presses for utterance while phonation itself will not engage, the breath and voice-motor frozen though structurally sound. Distinct from selective mutism (threat-locked total arrest), Evaluative Block (online audience-evaluation), Bond Protective (internalized cost-belief), and live external danger; here no threat or belief holds it — the arrest is functional and recovers once intact voicing is shown.
