Communion Collapse Felt Absence

cascade-variant.communion-collapse-felt-absenceclinical register

Definition

The lived sense of relationship with the transcendent has gone — not as a doctrinal proposition but as a felt reality — and the Spiritual column thins in both directions: no meaning to be held by, and no holding reaching for it. Across the secular deconversion void, unintegrated grief or betrayal coiled around the loss, and the station-of-the-self arrest the Sufi path describes — where a collapsed bond leaves a gap the commanding self fills, ego-driven impulse directing what communion once did — the structure is identical; what differs is only the tradition that names the emptied ground and the route it offers back. Distinct from the dark night of the spirit (Spirit Night, same cascade) by its non-developmental framing: here the ground is genuinely gone rather than withdrawn as purification.
