Communion Freeze Doubt Fretting
Definition
Spiritual content stays loud while Bond cannot close around any meaning long enough to feel held. In the scrupulous form an obsessional doubt-loop does the blocking: meanings are checked, questioned, and rechecked, so communion is never allowed to settle. In the stalled-ascent form the block is energetic rather than cognitive — an energetic opening keeps running through the system while the integration and meaning-holding functions have not kept pace, leaving the spiritual column hyperaroused and the bond unable to form around what is moving through. Distinct from Bond Block, where the framework itself has fallen away and what remains is mourning, and from the faithful aridity of the dark night of the spirit (Spirit Night, in Communion Collapse), where belief endures through dryness and nothing is actively preventing communion from settling.
