Inhabitation Spin Armored Brace
Definition
Somatic character-armor: chronic muscular over-holding substitutes for absent felt-body inhabitation — the brace grips the body from the outside while interoceptive ground stays empty beneath it, binding motility and affect discharge. Supplies the cascade-level muscular-body-armor mechanism that neither sibling carries. Differs from Body As Object (cognitive-identity compensation through weight and shape content at Mental) and from Body Part Fixation (localized obsessive-perceptual focus) by the somatic-muscular register of the substitution — the compensation is enacted in tissue, not in cognition. Distinct from the acute high-tone defensive bracing of Presence Freeze's Bracing Shutoff variant — a transient sensorimotor pre-collapse freeze at FP — by its chronic trait-level character-armor at BP: a standing structure that substitutes for inhabitation rather than a momentary defensive mobilization. Anchored in the body-psychotherapy character-armor literature and its modern somatic-trauma restatement.
