Inspiration Flood Elevation Storm
Definition
Receiving and meaning both run above range: intake races while significance arrives at unusual amplitude. In the elevated-mood form this comes with reduced sleep, impaired judgment, and functional change, and urgent clinical assessment takes priority — religious or transcendent content can be honored without being used to explain the episode away. In the tradition-contained form the same phenomenology is held inside a lineage that expects it: teacher, ritual scaffolding, and shared vocabulary carry what would otherwise overwhelm, the influx is named and welcomed rather than emergent, and what is asked for is continued accompaniment rather than reversal. Distinct from Spiritual Emergency by the containment being intact rather than breached, and from Arising and Passing by the flood arriving as received significance rather than as a stage of insight practice.
