Definition

Religious or spiritual struggle can coexist with highly charged sacred cognition and identity while receptivity narrows. Observance, doctrinal involvement, or difficulty surrendering alone does not establish Freeze; both O- and S+ must be present. Structured journaling and secular decentering are included as nonreligious ways to examine the high-charge content without forcing renewed surrender. Unlike contemplative dryness, this form retains above-range sacred charge; unlike a ritual substitute, it does not require compulsive checking.
