Intimacy Depletion Referential Exchange
Definition
A self-referential exchange in which another person's tone, needs, and invitations register accurately, but attention, bonding, and action keep returning to the speaker's own agenda. The presentation requires clear intake and a repeated inward organization of relating; solitude, loneliness, bereavement, sparse social contact, or one self-focused moment does not establish it.
