Passion Freeze Joy Inhibited
Definition
Fear of positive affect: delight, excitement, or pride is felt clearly yet cannot be shown or enacted, so the warm surge stays sealed and celebration never reaches voice, face, or others. Distinct from Anger Blocked and Sorrow Block (negatively-valenced affect), Tonic Still (acute somatic freeze), and the fear-paralysis form (evaluative anxiety, higher severity); here the blocked feeling is positive and the inhibition mild.
