cascade-variant
Presence Spin Appearance Fixation
Definition
Appearance-checking — focused mirror and surface-scanning for a perceived defect over an absent felt-body, the imagined flaw elaborated in mental imagery and braced against imagined scrutiny. Distinct from Body Monitoring (eating-disorder shape and weight comparison) and Symptom Watch (illness-fear interoceptive threat-scan): here surveillance targets surface appearance and an imagined defect, not interoceptive sensation or weight and shape.
