cascade-variant
Regard Collapse Signal Loss
Definition
ASD social-attention difference mapped to the Regard Collapse pattern only under DSM deficit-frame qualifier. Autism social-cognition research anchors the relational-attention pattern; cross-cultural autism literature adds the caveat that the deficit-frame is itself culturally bounded. Distinct from the mentalization-collapse variant (Mind Blanks) because the social-attentional difference is developmental and stable rather than activation-triggered.
