Regard Withdrawal Social Disengagement
Definition
Live relational signal keeps arriving at full strength, but the attending beam will not engage to follow it — the social gaze slides off connection that is fully present. The closure spreads along Focus's reach, thinning attentional contact toward feeling, the larger horizon, and thought, while its further reaches into Relational cost the column some tuning. Across depressive-disengagement and reading-fades presentations the grid is the same; what differs is only whether the beam withdraws globally with mood or the reading-skill itself drifts. Distinct from an anhedonic emptying of others' salience by the behavioral seam — attention stops following, rather than connection losing its felt weight.
