Sensitivity Saturation Nociplastic Pain
Definition
Nociplastic / chronic primary pain (fibromyalgia-spectrum): central sensitization amplifies somatic signal at the source while reception remains accurate — the saturation signature. Distinct from Allostatic Load by sensitized-nociception mechanism rather than chronic-stress autonomic load, and geometrically by catastrophizing primacy (FM 0.9 versus 0.5) with protective motor-guarding VP rather than disuse, per the pain-catastrophizing and fear-avoidance models, and with no BP involvement. Distinct from Mild Arousal by clinical-range intensity, attentional capture, and cognitive-affective extension.
