Sensitivity Withdrawal Interoceptive Avoidance
Definition
Fear-driven interoceptive avoidance: anxiety-sensitivity-mediated phobic disengagement from body signal with a physiologically ordinary soma. Avoidance of sensation-producing activities (exertion, caffeine, sexual arousal) is a recognized panic-maintenance factor measured by the Albany Panic and Phobia Questionnaire. Distinct from the mood-driven prodrome (Rising Grey) by fear-conditioned rather than appraisal-devaluation mechanism, by preserved hedonic range outside body-relevant content, and by column propagation into VP (activity avoidance) rather than FP.
