Affectivity Saturation
Definition
Open holds at its ordinary range while Emotional is over-active at Affectivity. Reception is intact and accurate — feeling is being registered for what it is; there is simply more of it landing at once than ordinary reception can absorb without overflow. The volume runs above a usable range rather than beyond all reach. Where the surplus reaches further it tends to stay with the other ways of handling feeling — attending to it, holding it, showing it — and can extend once along reception's own reach into bodily signal or into how ideas are taken in. That describes a profile that can be present rather than a spread the origin requires, and it settles nothing about how the rest of the profile is faring. Grief and heavy affective load produce one form of it; a rising expansiveness in which mood, energy, and openness to ideas climb together — short of a full elevated episode, but gathering toward one — produces another. Nothing here fixes an order in which reception and volume come back down.
