Belonging Spin
Definition
Sustained holding at Relational with too little mutual ground to bind with. Bond stays fully engaged but others register mainly as outlines rather than as partners in real exchange, so substitute work replaces the exchange the thinned domain cannot supply — substitution rather than simple emptiness. Propagation runs through Relational and outward: Focus and Move thin further as faint mutual ground starves attending and acting on the relational field, and Bond extends substitute work laterally into Mental, often reaching Emotional, where surrogate belonging can be constructed — in totalist and recruitment forms the substitute work reaches Spiritual at full strength as doctrine and sacred meaning fill the gap. Bond cannot put the substitute down while Relational stays thin — supported relational filling comes first, easing after.
