Definition

Mental content keeps arriving at a door that is mostly closed to it. Ideas and unfamiliar material remain available at ordinary volume, but Open engages weakly in receiving them. This is disengagement from contact rather than a capacity that has been structurally lost. Propagation can follow Open's reach: receptive contact may thin toward feeling, toward other people, or toward a larger horizon, while some of that same reach back into Mental can dull attending or expression. Re-engagement often begins where receiving meets ideas again, and part of the spread can ease with it, though recovery does not follow one fixed order.
