Definition

Relating stays organized around the other person while the capacity to receive them stays shut. Relational runs other-centric — attention, accommodation, or vigilance all pointed outward — but Open keeps the door closed, so what the other offers arrives without landing. Propagation runs broad: Focus and Bond generally hold over the outward-pointed contact, and Move joins that engagement in some forms while shutting down in the closeness-alarm form. Open extends its closure laterally into Emotional, where Bond also stalls, with reach into Mental as receiving narrows wherever it would otherwise form — and in the alarm-bound forms Open over-receives at Physical as somatic alarm floods at contact. In the attachment forms Open re-engages as relating comes back to mutual footing. Where nearness itself now trips the body's alarm before anything can land, re-opening waits on a somatic floor rebuilt first — work that is not Open's to do alone.
