Focus stays fully engaged but the relational thread it would track is missing, so attending manufactures substitute signal where the empty domain offers none — substitution rather than emptiness. Propagation runs through Relational and outward: Open and Bond lose ground over the same empty domain, receiving and holding thinning alongside the grind, while Focus extends substitute work laterally into Emotional and Mental where surrogate signal about others can be parsed. Release is beyond Focus's own power; with support, Relational fills, and as it fills the substitution loosens.
