Definition

Attentional readiness intact over an emptied Mental column — the tuned beam holds at setpoint while the thought-content it would engage has gone missing. A line-cascade content loss, not a failure of attention itself: the capacity is preserved and only its object is absent. Differentiates from cultivated, volitional mental quieting by its unbidden, aversive quality. Presents across acute-arousal blanking, depressive content-drop, and chronic thought-poverty.
