Definition
Attending stays fully engaged at Mental with no thought to settle on, so Focus grinds against the empty domain and reaches laterally into Emotional and Physical (FE,FP up) for surrogate content to work on, while the Mental column's receiving, holding, and forming thin (OM,BM,VM down) for lack of anything to take in, hold, or shape. The interior reads as a contentless loop that nonetheless will not stop — substitution, not vacancy. Across intrusive-replay and mental-checking presentations the grid is the same; what differs is only whether the substitute work is involuntary re-running of past content or covert checking against feared content. Distinct from mental collapse by attending staying locked on rather than disengaging — the loop is active, not empty.
