Affectivity Flood Affect Outburst
Definition
Affective flood with convulsive somatic discharge embedded in a relational and communal frame; the trigger, the bodily release, and the meaning of the episode all live inside that frame, which is itself part of what contains the experience. Distinct from panic and from primary dysregulation because the structure cannot be reduced to either without losing the relational coherence that organizes onset, discharge, and recovery.
