Belonging Collapse Walled Aloneness
Definition
Chronic loneliness with a severe-end housebound-withdrawal phenotype: sustained relational disconnection becomes self-perpetuating through reduced social approach and fewer renewing exchanges. It differs from acute ostracism (Exclusion Shutdown) by chronicity and from depressive retreat (Mood Retreat) by beginning in social disconnection rather than mood collapse.
