Definition

Sub-clinical empathic over-absorption (high sensory-processing sensitivity): others' emotional states are taken in and held at a temperamentally low threshold, with somatic resonance but no identity disturbance, caretaking compulsion, or systemic entanglement. The trait basis, mild loading, and absence of an active discharge or over-functioning axis separate it from the merge-rage variant (Merge Rage), individual codependence (Codependent Overwhelm), and family-systemic enmeshment (Systemic Merger).
