cascade-variant
Intimacy Freeze Closeness Alarm
Definition
Conditioned threat response to closeness with somatic intrusion at contact — the receiving door slams the instant approach registers as danger. Distinct from Approach Avoid (developmental fearful-avoidant organization with oscillating pursuit) and Receptivity Shut (habituated, settled deactivation with no alarm) by the conditioned-alarm mechanism, episodic intrusion, and unique OP loading (somatic flooding at contact) absent from both siblings. Anchored in betrayal-trauma theory and trauma physiology.
