trap
Spiritual Fusing
Definition
A trap where identity merges with a belief system whose totalizing significance guarantees that any question would destabilize the self doing the questioning — the fusion protects the doctrine, and the doctrine's weight protects the fusion. Believer and belief become inseparable.
